Pilot cohort · 20 seats · Starts Mon Aug 24

Stop pausing the subtitles.

In 4 weeks, go from "I only know annyeonghaseyo" to reading hangul out loud, ordering your own food, and catching real words in the shows you already watch. Live on Zoom with a real teacher — not another app you'll abandon in nine days.

You've tried. It didn't stick.

You downloaded the app. You got a 40-day streak. You can name six animals in Korean and still can't read a menu.

That's not a you problem. Apps are built to keep you opening the app — not to get you talking. They never sit you down and say this is how hangul actually works, and they never let you ask the one question that's been quietly confusing you for a year.

This course does both.

Three parts, one system

Built to fit around a full-time job.

1

Live Zoom classes

4 live sessions, one hour each. One class a week, choose your schedule. 1:1 lessons, cameras optional, questions encouraged.

2

The ebook

A workbook you'll actually use. Your hangul reference, vocab lists, pronunciation notes, and practice pages in one downloadable PDF. Print it, scribble on it, keep it forever.

3

Online lesson platform

Practice between classes. Self-paced lessons, drills, and audio you can hit for ten minutes on your commute. This is where the live class actually sticks.

Live teaching + a workbook + daily practice — that's the whole thing.

What 4 weeks looks like

Week 1

Read Hangul + introduce yourself

Learn how Korean consonants and vowels fit together, build your own name in Hangul, and practice the greetings you'll use when meeting someone for the first time. By the end of class, you'll be able to say your name, where you're from, and give a simple Korean introduction.

Week 2

Order food, coffee, and the things you need

Practice ordering at cafés and restaurants, asking for takeout, paying, requesting simple changes, and getting the check. You'll also learn the words you'll see in Korean delivery apps and useful phrases for finding products in stores like Olive Young and Daiso.

Week 3

Get from the airport to wherever you're going

Learn the Korean you'll need for airport check-in and boarding, then move into Korea's subway and bus system. You'll practice buying and using a T-money card, asking which line to take, knowing where to get off, and getting help with transfers.

Week 4

Handle a sick day in Korea

Learn how to describe common symptoms, say how long you've been sick, and navigate a basic hospital visit. Then practice taking a prescription to a pharmacy, understanding simple dosage instructions, and knowing what to do if you need urgent help.

Is this you?

This is for you if…

  • You've never studied Korean formally — or you tried an app and stalled
  • You can't read hangul yet, or you can sound it out but don't trust yourself
  • You're planning a trip to Korea and want to arrive with something real
  • You watch Korean shows and want to catch more than oppa and daebak
  • You learn better when someone can actually answer your question

This isn't for you if…

  • You already hold conversations in Korean — this will be too slow
  • You want fluency in a month (nobody can sell you that honestly)
  • You want fully self-paced with no live commitment. The 1:1 classes are the best part!

YOUR NAME

Hi, I'm Chloe

I'll be your teacher over the next four weeks. I'm excited to be partnering with South Korea Travels to bring you this course. I hope that this course can help you prepare for your next trip to Korea. You won't become an expert in four weeks, but many Koreans will be happy to know that you're at least making an effort. Let's have a lot of fun learning Korean over the next four weeks.

Questions

Do I need to know hangul already?

No. Week 1 teaches it from scratch. If you already read it, week 1 will clean up the pronunciation habits most self-taught learners pick up.

What if I miss a class?

Contact your teacher at least 24-hours before your class to see if it can be rescheduled. The ebook and online lessons mean you can catch up on your own time.

How much work is this outside of class?

Plan for 20–30 minutes a few times a week on the lesson platform. More is better, but the course is built for people with jobs.

What time are the classes?

Classes will start August 24th. Because Korea is 14 hours ahead of US Central, that lands on Sunday evening where you are. After sign-up, you will be able to choose your class time on the calendar.

Do I have to turn my camera on or speak?

Camera is optional. Speaking is encouraged but never forced — plenty of people start out just listening.

What do I need?

Zoom, a notebook, and a way to print or open a PDF. That's it.

Will this run again?

Yes, at $115. This cohort is the only one at $60.

Refunds?

[Your refund policy — e.g. "Attend week 1, and if it's not for you, email me before week 2 for a full refund."]
